Main Objective of the Course
The “Homeschooling ” English Course by Neshat Educational Group is designed to provide children with a joyful and natural learning experience.
In this course, students interact online with their teacher — individually or in small groups of two or three — and acquire the English language subconsciously, without direct instruction, through meaningful interaction and engaging activities.
Each term consists of 12 sessions, held three times per week, with each session lasting 30 minutes.
The main focus of this course is on speaking skills, and children learn through a variety of creative activities and structured lesson plans developed by the Neshat academic team.
Course Structure
The Homeschooling Course is thoughtfully designed around three key stages of language development:
Comprehension Stage – The listening and comprehension phase.
Similar to first-language acquisition, during this stage the child primarily listens, observes, and begins to understand meaning.Production Stage – The speaking phase.
The child starts to produce words and short sentences, often with many natural mistakes — just like in their native language development.Consolidation Stage – The fluency phase.
The child speaks more confidently and fluently, using a wider range of vocabulary and more accurate grammar and sentence structures.
A Key Note at the Beginning
In the early stages, the most important goal is to build an emotional connection.
Remember: we only learn from those we love.
Emotional connection always comes before learning.
To help build this bond, parents are encouraged to stay in touch with the teacher, request short video calls with the child, and when telling stories, say things like “Your teacher really loves you.” This helps the child feel safe and connected. Our goal is for the child to see their teacher as a friend — not a formal instructor.
When the Child Resists During the First Sessions
It is perfectly normal if, during the first few sessions, your child resists attending class, refuses to sit, or even cries.
However, it’s essential that the child does not learn that crying or resistance allows them to avoid the lesson.
Just like in a real school, they must understand that the class has its own rules and boundaries.
If you face such resistance, please contact the Neshat support team.
We provide personalized guidance for each child — for example, sometimes we may suggest that you step out of the room, or in other cases, stay until the child feels calm.
We will guide you carefully until your child gradually adapts to the class routine.
Usually, within the first two weeks, when parents follow this guidance calmly and consistently, the child begins to trust the process and willingly returns to class with enthusiasm.
Stage One: Comprehension
In this first stage, the child mainly listens — just as in first-language acquisition.
This stage typically lasts 6 to 8 months.
During this period, most of the interaction is one-sided.
Although it may seem that the child is only playing, drawing, or engaging in simple activities, their brain is actively absorbing, processing, and storing linguistic input.
What to expect:
The child speaks less Persian.
The child asks fewer questions (such as “What does this mean?”).
Gradually begins to repeat individual words or short phrases.
If your child only listens and speaks little during the first few months, this is completely natural — just as children do not speak their native language for the first year of life.
Expecting full speech or memorized sentences after a couple of months is not true language learning; it’s merely sound imitation, not comprehension.
Therefore, the Comprehension Stage in the Neshat approach lasts 6 to 8 months, during which the child listens, plays, and interacts without necessarily speaking.
After this phase, the child naturally moves into the Production and then Stabilization stages — each following the natural pattern of language growth in the human brain.
